By: Chandler, Editor-In-Chief Donna Sue Latorio, a player since the early days of Yo, has gone through ups, downs, wins, and loses. Donna's previous name on Yo was "Gypsy." In 2010, she was hacked, leaving her account with slim to nothing. At this time in Yoville, families were just being introduced in the game and Donna was mainly playing for the buying and selling aspect. In 2017, friends of Donna asked her to return. Upon her return, she was invited to become a member in one of the most prestigious YoWorld families out there - the Latorio's. "It's been an amazing experience," explains Donna. "I am now the Donna of the family." Donna is married to Difficult Latorio. The two are hoping to renew their vows in the future sometime. Difficult has been with Donna since the day she joined the family. The relationship's Donna has formed within Latorio are everlasting she says. The underboss, Bambi, is her granddaughter. Donna is also very close with Difficult, and Vinny. Vinny is the CEO of Latorio. Outside of Latorio, Donna is involved with several other projects throughout the game, the biggest one being YoJournal News. She is the chief editor of the popular news group on Facebook, which debuted in July of 2018. The group has grown to over three hundred readers over the past seven months. "Our goal is all Yo, all the time, so we don't focus on just one aspect of the community. We cover everything," explained Donna. The group does a special contest every time a new VIP outfit gets released. By having the contest, it gives their exclusive readers something extra to look forward to. Donna explained the struggle of keeping an impartial atmosphere while reporting news. "I've actually turned stories over to others on my team when I'm too close to being biased." The writer's father in real life was a published author. She says that some of that could have rubbed off on her which gave her the passion for writing that she has. One of the many reasons Donna loves to write is because of the fact that stories can make a difference in the community. "Case in point was the property vaulting issue. We brought it out of the forums first. It was quickly picked out by others and spread, allowing everyone to have their say. That turned out amazing for the YoCommunity, and I'm excited to know that we played a part of it," says Donna when referring to how YoJournal helped share the concern. In terms of upcoming projects, Donna shared that a fashion page is going to be premiering very soon. The Latorio models have been hard at work preparing lots of fashions for the upcoming page. It is "latorious" she says. "Latorious is an adjective we use to describe the family and how we feel about each other," explained Donna. Family and journalism are deeply connected to Donna's life. Because of her love for journalism, she was the first awardee of the Literature and Communication Yobel Prize Award in the game.
